Project 52, part 10

This is the second to last Project 52 recap! I have to admit that the longer this project went on, the worst I got about it. A few times I took the photo a day or two late, and they weren’t planned out that well. I think the problem is when I’m busy post processing photos, I’m not thinking about taking even more photos. The weeks where I seemed to slack were after photoshoots or trips, which were when I was already dealing with a large set of photos.

So here is the recap for weeks 44-48!

#44 – Scott Pilgrim
Four coworkers and I did a Scott Pilgrim group for Halloween! The two who dressed as Scott Pilgrim and Stephen Stills even brought in their bass and guitar for the costumes πŸ™‚

#45 – We Meet Again
You might remember that week 35 was a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge. Here it is again! We stopped by San Francisco on the way to Hawaii, and I managed to get a clear, sunset photo this time.

#46 – Sunset
One of my favorite photos from our trip to Maui πŸ™‚ This is on Polo Beach, and I did a long exposure of the waves during sunset using a tripod, ND lens filter, and remote shutter.

#47 – Ah… so lazy…
I bought a super cute Gudetama RE-MENT set, which is a blind box set of miniatures. I picked my favorite figure from it and used my mini backdrop set-up for this photo!

#48 – Taiyaki
I already used this photo in my last My Favorite Things, so here it is again for week 48. I bought a taiyaki mold and made homemade taiyaki with Nutella filling πŸ˜€

The next recap will be the last one! I’ll also write on how I felt about a Project 52 and things I’ve learned from it. Stay tuned for it next year!

I can imagine how challenging it must be to come up with a photography idea week by week! (Or at least a quality-filled one). Much kudos to you for being so close to the finish line! Would you do it again? Or up it to Project 365?

The scenic pictures are always beautiful! When I went to SF for the bridge picture, there was fog covering it and I was on the bottom base of the bridge (right middle in your pic). Gudetama is so cute! I love how creative they can be when it comes to making mini display figures.

You got ~2 more weeks to go for Project 52!

I’ve actually done a Project 365 twice in the past πŸ™‚ (Well, like 1 3/4 since I didn’t fully complete the second one.) I moved to a Project 52 since I felt a 365 was too frequent. Still unsure on whether I’d do another 52!

I think it is amazing that you are doing this project and even have time for it. I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself because sometimes things happen and we can’t be working at the same level all the time. πŸ™‚

I really love viewing your photography and enjoy these recaps. πŸ˜€

#47. OMG, that is so adorable. :’)

I love rements. I have way too many of them. All of the scenery photos are gorgeous, as always.

Love your photography! Hope you are well, Cat!

Loved going through your year with you! The Golden Gate photo is stunning. I haven’t been to SF in a long time, and this photo makes me miss it!

Loving photo #46! The colours are so soft and beautiful. I’m attempting a Project 365 for 2016, but I’m so scared that halfway through I won’t have the motivation to finish or start half-assing my photos haha xD

I love all your photos, especially the one of the bridge. You’re lucky to get such a nice shot – or rather, you are just so good at taking photos. πŸ˜€ Would rather attribute it to your talents than luck, haha.

I missed your post about Taiyaki but it looks interesting… I should check it out. I’m not a huge fan of Nutella but I am sure I could put other fillings. Yummy!
